Chair of Production Engineering
Welcome
About Us
The Institute’s research and development activity covers selected areas of mechanical engineering, i.e. automation and robotization of manufacturing processes and systems, production engineering, product manufacturing techniques (machining, unconventional machining, ultra-precise machining, micro machining). Since 2010, several dozen research and development projects have been carried out at the Institute, financed by national and international research agencies. The Institute’s research profile is utilitarian oriented, which is confirmed by numerous bilateral projects implemented in cooperation with production companies (including Poltra, Wielton, Bryk, Sikorski Cycles, Tiz-Implements, PKN Orlen, Erko and Lotos Group).
- design and organization of manufacturing processes,
- automation and computerization of manufacturing processes and systems,
- programming machines and technological devices,
- machining, electro-erosion, electrochemical and laser machining,
- additive technologies,
- underwater mobile robots,
- reconstruction engineering in modeling and manufacturing of products,
- surface layer engineering.

Teaching activities
are focused around two fields of study carried out at the Institute, namely automation and robotics as well as production engineering. Students of these areas of study take part in practical classes, which are carried out in didactic laboratories and laboratories specializing in robotics and machining; additive techniques; reconstructive engineering; CAx techniques; electronic media; digital modeling of products, processes and manufacturing systems; micro machining.
